All project groups need to submit black book copies to the mentioned faculty member, after getting them signed from respective guides,(refer this notice).
Along with black book copies, you have to submit 2 CD/DVDs which would contain following details about the project (CD/DVD Contents).

Although 3rd April might be a very tight submission date it is flexible too.(so don't get bogged down)

DS Experiement 05 and 06
To all BE computer students as it was discussed in the Monday lecture we are supposed to complete Experiment 05 and 06 this week during practical sessions.
Due to some technical issue I was not able to upload the write ups and relevant material for these experiments in time for C1 batch to perform the experiments smoothly, though we were successful in completing experiment 06, we would complete experiment 05 during next practical session.
Now coming to brief about the Experiments 05 and 06:
Experiment 06
Aim for Experiment 06 is to create a tutorial of sort for a learner to get acquainted with RMI API.
In order to do that I have shared with you an on-line tutorial on the same topic.(Please check the Google Drive I had shared with you earlier: DSExperiment06.doc) Since the tutorial is not well formatted and has some issues in the flow you need to correct it and present it in a more understandable way.
You are also free to refer to any other resource and come up with short but effective tutorial
Experiment 05
Aim: Brain storming session on : Difference between RPC and RMI
Aim for Experiment 05 is to read and understand the document Waldo98.pdf shared on google drive folder. It discusses some points related to RPC and RMI. Later at your respective experiment session we will have open discussion about what document says and brain storm on the idea of differences between rPC and RMI.
During this brain storming session randomly chosen 4 students have to make note of (Write minutes of ) the way discussion proceeded and later all in the batch have to copy these as write up for experiment 05.

DS experiment 6 : C1 Batch
Please follow this link to know what was wrong in today's RMI tutorial :
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7237536/exception-in-thread-main-java-lang-unsupportedclassversionerror-a-unsupporte
We were getting this exception on some machines and were not sure why it was occurring; although we managed to run the code by some JUGAAD of sort.
After going through above link you might get idea on why there was an error and why it was there only on select machines and why it went off.
So I guess it was nothing to do with running rmiregistry inside server folder etc.....
If you still are not sure just post your queries at the end of this post....

BE VIII Experiment 4
Dear all,
This is about the case study we need to solve in order to complete experiment 4.
I have already uploaded same on Google Drive folder we are using to share study material
You have to bring Assignment pages and solve the question given at the end of the case study to complete the experiment.
I expect all three batches must have completed at least 2 experiments and will be completing case study + experiment 3 this week and get it assessed before their respective practical sessions get over.
No books are allowed during practicals though you will be provided with the case study copy in the practical.
Your final submission will be: Opening page saying Experiment 4, Aim: CASE STUDY: COMMONLY USED ALGORITHMS FOR ORDERED DELIVERY OF MULTI CAST MESSAGES, followed by the print out of case study and questions asked, finally write your answers at the end.
You must get all four Experiments assessed before this Friday.....a must...!!!
